Rick Carter is the owner of Spotter, an attendance solutions software. He also had a career for several years as a basketball coach, working as an assistant at a number of big programs including Depaul University, Xavier, Missouri, Western Michigan, and Michigan State University. As the head coach of an AAU team, the Michigan Mustangs, Rick has coached prominent players such as the Boston Celtics’ Al Holford, Western Michigan’s David Kool, and Michigan State’s Drew Neitzel.

A native of Grand Blanc, MI., Carter graduated from Michigan State in 2002 with a degree in business management. Join us for the interview where Rick Carter describes why good relationships and networking has led to all his coaching jobs without interviews and his secrets to running a successful business.
